Overview
You’ll command a fleet of powerful Ships in 1vs1 auto-chess battles, testing your strategy skills against other players or endless waves of NPCs. Your goal is to build a fleet, position it carefully, and choose the right Ships to outsmart your opponents.
Game Basics for New Players
1vs1 Ship Battles: Battles are automatic (auto-chess style), meaning your Ships will take turns attacking based on where they’re positioned in your lineup. Strategy is in your setup, not in manually controlling the Ships.
Choosing Weapons
There are three types of weapons: Projectile, Missile, and Corrosive.
Projectile: Hits shields first, then armor.
Missile: Skips shields, hitting armor directly. Useful for fast armor damage.
Corrosive: Similar to Projectile but with a twist—it deals less damage to shields and extra damage to armor. Great as a follow-up after shields are down.
Building Your Fleet
You need to fill 6 Ship slots to play. Most Ships take up 1 slot, but Ships from the Titan Galaxy take up 2 slots.
You can mix and match Ships to find a fleet that suits your style. Each Ship type and weapon choice has different effects in battle, giving you options to experiment with.
Epic and Legendary Ships have unique abilities that add a new layer of strategy. Some epics or legendaries might have slightly less armor or shield but compensate with powerful, one-of-a-kind abilities.
Starter Tips: Building a Winning Fleet
All-Missile Strategy
If you want straightforward armor-piercing power, go for a fleet full of Missile Ships to punch straight through defenses.
Mixed Strategy with Projectile and Corrosive
This setup works well for balanced damage. Try 4 Projectile and 2 Corrosive, or split 3 and 3. For best results, place Projectile Ships first (to break shields) and Corrosive Ships after (to maximize damage to armor).
Positioning Matters
Ships attack in order from left to right. Place your strongest damage-dealers on the left so they attack first. For mixed fleets, put Projectile Ships ahead of Corrosive ones. This way, you can break enemy shields before hitting armor harder with Corrosive Ship.
Advanced Tips: Modes and Strategies
Defeat the Horde Mode
Healing Ships
Ships like Shield Battery and Bulwark are essential in Horde mode. They provide healing to armor and shields at the start of each round, helping you last longer.
Instant Kill Abilities
Some abilities let you take out an enemy ship right away.
Nullify can instantly destroy the leftmost enemy ship before battle. Its cost is incremental therefore it's better to save it for boss waves that look tough to beat.
The Hyperlance Ship has a powerful ability to take down a ship instantly. It’s especially useful in weekly tournaments when Nullify isn’t available.
Expedition Mode
Sneak Mode: If your goal is to survive longer and avoid enemies, choose Sneak mode, which lowers the chance of engaging enemies or bandits. Ideal for players aiming to be the last one standing.
Aggressive Mode: For those wanting more action or looking to collect Ship Components, Aggressive mode increases the chance of encountering enemies and bandits. Great for completing Challenge and gathering loot.
Final Tips for New Players
Experiment with Fleets: Try different combinations of Ship types, weapons, and positions. You might find a strategy that fits your style better than standard setups.
Learn the Modes: Each mode has different objectives, so adapt your fleet and strategies to match. For example, you’ll want healing Ships in Defeat the Horde, while Expedition may require a more survival-focused setup.
Practice Positioning: Positioning can make or break a battle! Start with your strongest Ships on the left and work from there.
Now you’re ready to dive into the galaxy and command your fleet to victory! Good luck, Commander!
