There are two types of scientists: limited and unlimited.
Limited Scientist
The limited scientist can only be minted up to a maximum of 40.
It can be created by blending 5 Epic + 1 Legendary Scientist (Unlimited Scientists) + 1 Limited Scientist Blend.
A Limited Scientist Blend can be obtained by collecting 10 Encounter Fragments.
Once you have collected all the required NFTs, move your Unlimited Scientists and your Blend ticket into the FGL Vault to Blend into a Limited Scientist.
Limited Scientist generates 500 Credits per hour.
Limited Scientists also provide a production boost when assigned to Drillers while Delving in the Abyss. (See Delve for more details.)

Unlimited Scientist (often referred to simply as Scientist) can be blended with 5 Gears + a Scientist Blend.
Blend chance: 85% Epic, 15% Legendary.
Epic Scientist generates 50 Credits per hour. Legendary Scientist generates 150 Credits per hour.
A Scientist Blend can be obtained by collecting 10 Abyss Fragments.
Once you have collected the required NFTs, move your Gears and your Blend ticket into the FGL Vault to Blend into a Scientist.
