Overview
The Abyss is a game mode where you craft and upgrade creatures called Biocrafts. Use them to Delve for resources and battle for Prizes.
Laboratory: Create and upgrade your Biocraft army.
Delve: Explore for resources and compete for Leaderboard rewards by Delving deeper.
Arena: Compete in PvP battles or challenge Dark Depths bosses for unique rewards.
Laboratory
The Laboratory is where you craft and upgrade your Biocrafts. Use the in-game Lab Guide to learn about Genes and the special abilities of each Biocraft.
Getting Started
- Click "Manage Biocrafts" to build your army.
- Start with five free Biocrafts by clicking "Craft Now".
Upgrading Biocrafts
- Use Artifacts and Energy to upgrade your Biocrafts.
- Click "View Detail" to see their stats and abilities.
Delve
Once your Biocrafts are ready, click the "Delve" button to explore the infinite Delve map.
Map Exploration
- All players begin with the same starting layout. ensuring at least 2 Artifacts Deposits are visible at the start.
- Uncleared Tiles: Guarded by monsters. Clearing them costs Robotic Access Keys and Artifacts.
- Reward Tiles: May drop resources like Genes, Credits, A.R.C, Robot Part, Ship Components, Energy, eOLT Tokens, Artifacts and Abyss Fragments.
- Specific Tiles: Capturing certain tiles will automatically construct structures on them.
- Cleared Tiles: Move freely between them.
- Blocked Paths: Smash large rocks using Artifacts.
- Unbreakable Walls: Cannot travel to these tiles.
- Unique Layouts: Aside from the same starting zone, each player's Delve map layout remains unique, including their Replicas.
⚡ Echoes from Beneath
The **Echoes from Beneath** event may trigger randomly while Delving in the Abyss.
Structures and Buildings
- Void Hole tiles: When you capture this tile, it will automatically construct a Reactor on it.
- Reactor: The Reactor will drain power from the Void Hole and provide power to all nearby cleared empty tiles. Once a Reactor is created, any surrounding tiles (Large Cross Area) you capture will automatically transform into Worker's Hideout.
- Worker's Hideout: Each Worker's Hideout provides 1 worker.
- Ways to gain workers:
- Start with 5 free workers.
- Clear Void Holes and nearby tiles for more workers.
- Each Hoverbot NFT = +1 worker.
- Each Burrowbyte NFT = +5 workers.
- Artifact Deposit tile: Capturing this constructs a Artifact Driller.
- Driller: The Driller requires Workers to operate. It will automatically produce Artifacts when active. Can be boosted by Scientist or Burrowbyte.
⚠️ Pay attention: if you don’t have enough workers, Driller efficiency will be reduced.
- Teleporters: You can build up to 10 Teleporters. Teleporters allow instant travel between locations and can be demolished if needed.
Burrowbyte and Scientist
- Burrowbyte: Counts as 5 workers. Can also be assigned to a Driller for a 2× boost.
- Epic Scientist: 5× boost, requires +2 workers per Driller.
- Legendary Scientist: 10× boost, requires +4 workers per Driller.
- Limited Scientist: 20× boost, requires +6 workers per Driller.
Combat
- Monsters grow stronger the deeper you go.
- Biocraft requirements:
- Minimum 3 Biocrafts are required for each battle.
- Maximum 5 Biocrafts can be deployed.
- Dead Biocrafts must be removed, replaced or respawned.
- Biocraft healing and respawn:
- Biocraft HP is saved after each battle, but enemy HP resets if you fail.
- Injured Biocrafts heals 3% of their maximum HP every hour.
- Dead Biocrafts automatically respawn at 16:00 UTC with 1 HP.
- Healing: Costs Artifacts based on the Biocraft’s missing HP.
- Revival: Costs Nature Genes based on the Biocraft’s rarity.
Arena
And finally... the Arena!
There are two types of battles: Arena PvP Battles and Dark Depths (boss battles).
Arena PvP Battles
Arena is a competitive mode in Outlaw Troopers where players battle other empires using their Biocrafts to earn rewards and climb the Weekly Leaderboard.
- Arena is free to enter, with up to 20 battles available per day.
- Each Arena victory grants Energy, Artifacts and Nature Genes, scaled by your empire level.
- Additional rewards are available through the Weekly Leaderboard Prizes.
- Opponents are matched based on your win ratio.
- Tiebreakers are determined by win rate.
Dark Depths
- Challenge three different bosses, each offering unique rewards:
- Vexor the Cypher Archon (Medium Mode): Rewards Nature Genes and Robotic Keys.
- To challenge the Dark Depths, you need Cybernetic Keys. The number of keys required depends on the boss you challenge.
That's it for this guide! Good luck entering the Abyss!
