Encounters are the heart and soul of [[Outlaw Troopers]]! By mastering them, you will:
 
- Earn [[Credits]], [[Gears]], [[eOLT Tokens]], [[Sacred Gene]] and [[Radioactive Shards]].
 
- Gain [[Reputation]] to increase your seasonal [[Leaderboard]] rank.
 
- Complete [[A.R.C_Initiator_Quests]] for additional rewards.
 
- Fight dominators to find [[Fragments]].
 
==How to Start an Encounter==

- Go to Explore -> Encounters in game.
 
- Select your desired tier.
 
*If the tier is cleared, you may reroll the map before starting.
 
*You can view detailed information about Node rewards, Encounter rules, Enemy types, and Dominators directly from the right-hand tabs on the Tier Selection Screen in-game.
 
- Click “Select This Encounter” to move to the Setup Screen.
 
- On the Setup Screen, choose your [[Ship]], [[Trooper]], and [[Gears]].
 
*You can also view your Build Stats, select [[Default Skills]], check the [[Boons]], or load a saved build.
 
- Click “Confirm Deployment”.
 
- Choose to start the encounter using either:

Click Combat -> Encounters.  You are now at the Tier Selection screen, there is a LOT of important information here so let's break it down step by step.<br />

Check the Encounter Buff calculation here. As you increase your Empire Level by gaining [[Reputation]], progressing through higher [[Normal Encounters]] Tiers, and exploring [[The Abyss]], you will gain increased buffs. These buffs increase your [[Gear Score Limit]], allowing you to equip more and better Gears, while also providing extra [[Armor]], [[Shield]], and All Damage bonuses in Normal Encounters. Balancing these factors will help your progression through the Tiers.


===Tiers and Planets===
- Cleared Tiers can be rerolled; Uncleared Tiers cannot.
In the center of the screen, you can see your current tier and planet. There are unlimited tiers. You'll rotate through four planets: Themis, Cradea, Zolphis, and Floerian.

==Reward Scaling==
Rewards scale based on the base [[Energy]] cost before any discounts. This affects [[Credits]], [[Gears]], [[eOLT Tokens]], [[Reputation]], [[Prestige]] and [[Radioactive Shards]].

Each point of [[Energy]] spent increases your reward bonus by 10%:

2 [[Energy]] gives +10% bonus, 3 [[Energy]] gives +20% bonus, 4 [[Energy]] gives +30% bonus and so on.

Tiers 1 to 4 are free to enter, but they do not grant any [[Credits]] or [[Reputation]]. After the fourth tier, you'll need [[Normal Access Keys]] or a [[Discount Access Key]], along with [[Energy]], to start an encounter.
- Each Tier has its own saved layout.


Higher tiers require more Normal Access Keys and Energy to enter.
*Rerolling a Tier saves that layout for that Tier only.

===Reroll===
- Standard Reroll: Costs [[Normal Access Keys]] equal to the tier’s [[Energy]] cost.
Pay 2 [[Normal Access Keys]] to reroll [[Layout]].


[[Uncleared Tiers]]: Cannot be rerolled. You'll have 4 random mods and see a question mark on the map layout.
- Lucky Reroll: Costs 400 [[Normal Access Keys]] and guarantees at least 1 [[Gene]] node in the layout.


[[Cleared Tiers]]: Pay 2 keys to reroll layout. Each <html><img width='40' src='https://play.outlawtroopers.io/images/node3.png'/></html>
- Free reroll (after completing an encounter):
[[Credits Node]] gives your encounter two extra mods, boosting your [[Credits]] or [[Reputation]] bonus.

Displays a table of Base Node Rewards and Encounter Rules. Shows which nodes are possible on the Tier and their base reward. Base rewards increase as you progress through the Tier of the encounter.
*Has a lower chance to roll [[Credit]] nodes


Note that each node you clear increases the next node's difficulty by 25% and the reward by 10%.
- Minimum rerolled map size: 3 × 3


You must clear the Crown node to unlock the next Tier.
- Maximum rerolled map size: 6 x 5

Overview

Encounters are the heart and soul of Outlaw Troopers! By mastering them, you will:

- Earn Credits, Gears, eOLT Tokens, Sacred Gene and Radioactive Shards.

- Gain Reputation to increase your seasonal Leaderboard rank.

- Complete A.R.C_Initiator_Quests for additional rewards.

- Fight dominators to find Fragments.

How to Start an Encounter

- Go to Explore -> Encounters in game.

- Select your desired tier.

  • If the tier is cleared, you may reroll the map before starting.
  • You can view detailed information about Node rewards, Encounter rules, Enemy types, and Dominators directly from the right-hand tabs on the Tier Selection Screen in-game.

- Click “Select This Encounter” to move to the Setup Screen.

  • You can also view your Build Stats, select Default Skills, check the Boons, or load a saved build.

Reward Scaling

Each point of Energy spent increases your reward bonus by 10%:

2 Energy gives +10% bonus, 3 Energy gives +20% bonus, 4 Energy gives +30% bonus and so on.
