Encounters are the heart and soul of [[Outlaw Troopers]]! By mastering them, you will:

- Earn [[Credits]], [[Gears]], [[eOLT Tokens]], [[Sacred Gene]] and [[Radioactive Shards]].
Normal Encounters are the heart and soul of Outlaw Troopers!  By mastering the normal encounter you will:<br />
- earn [[Credits]], [[Ocuriums]], [[Gears]], and [[Virtual Mechas]]<br />
- gain [[Reputation]] increasing your seasonal [[Leaderboard]] rank<br />
- complete [[A.R.C_Initiator_Quests]] giving you even more loot<br />
- fight [[Dominators]]<br />
- find [[Fragments]]<br /><br>


Click Combat Related -> Encounters, then "Normal Encounter". You are now at the Tier Selection screen, there is a LOT of important information here so let's break it down one at a time.<br />
- Gain [[Reputation]] to increase your seasonal [[Leaderboard]] rank.


<h2>Gear Score Calculation</h2>
- Complete [[A.R.C_Initiator_Quests]] for additional rewards.

At the very top you can see which planet you are on.  As you progress through the Tiers you will see the same 4 planets rotated through:  Themis, Cradea, Zolphis, and Floerian.  The planet you are fighting on is important for two reasons:<br />
- Determines what kind of enemy ships you will face<br />
- Determines which [[Fragments]] drop from the [[Dominators]]<br />

On the right hand side of the screen you will see multiple tabs, jam packed with information. The important takeaways from the Nodes tab are:<br />
==How to Start an Encounter==
- Displays which nodes are possible on the level, as well as the "base" reward for each node. You will see as you play how these increase as you play through the encounter. Note you have to clear the "crown" node for the next tier to become available.<br />

- Displays the rules of the encouner. Especially note that each node you clear will cause the next nodes difficulty by 25% and the reward by 10%.<br />
 
- Go to Explore -> Encounters in game.
 
- Select your desired tier.
 
*If the tier is cleared, you may reroll the map before starting.
 
*You can view detailed information about Node rewards, Encounter rules, Enemy types, and Dominators directly from the right-hand tabs on the Tier Selection Screen in-game.
 
- Click “Select This Encounter” to move to the Setup Screen.
 
- On the Setup Screen, choose your [[Ship]], [[Trooper]], and [[Gears]].
 
*You can also view your Build Stats, select [[Default Skills]], check the [[Boons]], or load a saved build.
 
- Click “Confirm Deployment”.
 
- Choose to start the encounter using either:
 
*[[Energy]], or
 
*a [[Discount Access Key]] (which grants a 100% [[Energy]] discount).
 
==Tiers==
- There are unlimited tiers.
 
- Tiers 1 to 4 are free but do not reward [[Credits]] or [[Reputation]]
 
- Starting from Tier 5, encounters require [[Energy]] to enter.
 
- Energy costs increase every 4 tiers:
 
*Tiers 5 to 8 share the same cost and rewards
 
*Tiers 9 to 12 share the same, and so on
 
- Cleared Tiers can be rerolled; Uncleared Tiers cannot.
 
==Reward Scaling==
Rewards scale based on the base [[Energy]] cost before any discounts. This affects [[Credits]], [[Gears]], [[eOLT Tokens]], [[Reputation]], [[Prestige]] and [[Radioactive Shards]].
 
Each point of [[Energy]] spent increases your reward bonus by 10%:
 
2 [[Energy]] gives +10% bonus, 3 [[Energy]] gives +20% bonus, 4 [[Energy]] gives +30% bonus and so on.
 
==Map Layouts & Rerolling==
- Each Tier has its own saved layout.
 
*Rerolling a Tier saves that layout for that Tier only.
 
*Switching to another Tier loads a separate layout.
 
- Standard Reroll: Costs [[Normal Access Keys]] equal to the tier’s [[Energy]] cost.
 
- Lucky Reroll: Costs 400 [[Normal Access Keys]] and guarantees at least 1 [[Gene]] node in the layout.
 
- Free reroll (after completing an encounter):
 
*Cannot roll [[Gene]] nodes or [[eOLT]] nodes
 
*Always generates a 3 × 3 layout
 
*Has a lower chance to roll [[Credit]] nodes
 
- Minimum rerolled map size: 3 × 3
 
- Maximum rerolled map size: 6 x 5

- Cleared Tier: Crown node defeated; can reroll map.

Overview

Encounters are the heart and soul of Outlaw Troopers! By mastering them, you will:

- Earn Credits, Gears, eOLT Tokens, Sacred Gene and Radioactive Shards.

- Gain Reputation to increase your seasonal Leaderboard rank.

- Complete A.R.C_Initiator_Quests for additional rewards.

- Fight dominators to find Fragments.

How to Start an Encounter

- Go to Explore -> Encounters in game.

- Select your desired tier.

  • If the tier is cleared, you may reroll the map before starting.
  • You can view detailed information about Node rewards, Encounter rules, Enemy types, and Dominators directly from the right-hand tabs on the Tier Selection Screen in-game.

- Click “Select This Encounter” to move to the Setup Screen.
