Overview

Normal Encounters are the heart and soul of Outlaw Troopers! By mastering the normal encounter you will:
- earn Credits, Ocuriums, Gears, and Virtual Mechas
- gain Reputation increasing your seasonal Leaderboard rank
- complete A.R.C_Initiator_Quests giving you even more loot
- fight Dominators
- find Fragments

Click Combat Related -> Encounters, then "Normal Encounter". You are now at the Tier Selection screen, there is a LOT of important information here so let's break it down one at a time.

Gear Score Calculation

At the very top you can see which planet you are on. As you progress through the Tiers you will see the same 4 planets rotated through: Themis, Cradea, Zolphis, and Floerian. The planet you are fighting on is important for two reasons:
- Determines what kind of enemy ships you will face
- Determines which Fragments drop from the Dominators

You can also see the Gear Score calculation here. As you progress to higher tiers of Normal Encounters and The Abyss you are allowed to bring more gears into the encounter. As you raise your empire level through Reputation your max gear score will also go up! Having a balanced approach of increasing all three together will make it easier to progress through the normal encounter tiers.

Nodes

On the right hand side of the screen you will see multiple tabs, jam packed with information. The important takeaways from the Nodes tab are:
- Displays which nodes are possible on the level, as well as the "base" reward for each node. You will see as you play how these increase as you play through the encounter. Note you have to clear the "crown" node for the next tier to become available.
- Displays the rules of the encounter. Especially note that each node you clear will cause the next nodes difficulty by 25% and the reward by 10%.

Enemy Type

The "Enemy Type" tab shows you what kind of enemies you will face. These are determined per planet. Mouse over the various enemies to see what their abilities are. Depending what kind of gear build you pick to use in the future, you might find certain planets easier than others!

Dominators

The "Dominators" tab gives a handy reference to all the Dominators. These are NOT planet dependent, no matter which planet you are they will be the same. Good luck these guys are tough :)

Trovers

The "Trovers" tab gives a handy reference to all the Trovers. Starting at tier 5 you will have a chance to spawn one. On this tab you will see all the possible rewards for defeating a Trover. Good luck!
